A Port Augusta Guided Walking Tour is for those who want to discover Port Augusta in an interactive, hands on and entertaining way. It's a 90 minute easy paced tour led by local guide and award winning community leader, Lisa Lumsden.

As you wander the historical streets you'll discover the rich Aboriginal heritage and the harsh realities of colonial expansion. You’ll hear tales of ambition and about the characters that built this frontier town on the edge of the desert.

Marvel at the nation building railway history and visit the old maritime wharf. Enjoy the views of the Spencer Gulf waters and stand where the first boat load of camels were unloaded onto Australian soil.

Discover how Port Augusta is transforming it’s coal power generating past into a inspiring renewable energy future and why it will soon become the renewable energy capital of the world.

During the tour you’ll also be entertained by the stories behind the feisty late Mayor Joy Baluch AM, the street art, the many many pubs, and you’ll get a chance to ponder on the mysterious tunnels that run under the wharf... but to where?

There’s so much more to Port Augusta than meets the eye. Let Lisa bring the town to life!
